We are very accustomed the used of cranes particular in construction industry for various needs of construction.  These cranes or types of cranes help these industry to perform a certain or to solve certain challenge with ease.  The non-availability otherwise would have limited the engineering ability to achieve greater heights or take risks or work in rough terrains.  There so many different types of cranes, let list some of them below,  reference :- https://www.bigrentz.com/blog/types-of-cranes

Now In News Channels, Facebook Posts, Youtubes and other media platforms we get to view videos of cranes crumbling, collapsing, falling over, capsizing, and so on.. 

This might be due to the fact they are be used beyond their known capacity handling, their agility, their flexibility, their sturdiness and so on.

In order to ensure that the Cranes(very expensive machine) their not used beyond their tested abilities and capabilities is to ensure that each of these Cranes machines are embedded with a Mother Board, Embedded Domain OS and connected to a Logical Domian OS to ensure that the functions are restricted or limited to it's defined abilities or capabilities by the sensors, embedded platform (Software-Hardware-Electro-Mechanical) are working together to ensure the safety of the machine, cleanliness of the machine, it's arms, it's wings, it's legs, it's mechanical component varnished, rust or wear or tear in it's arms or wings or legs are replaced or repaired (retested or calibrated for their efficiency or for it's abilities or capabilities).  

This could enable the CRANES to be completely modular which allows for frequent replacement of worn parts.  The CRANES would then come with a Cockpit that enables and ensures the CRANES are used for it's abilities, ensures that CRANES themselves are very safe in it's operation.

The Safety of the CRANES would be handled by the on-board Domain OS Hardware-Software Platform.  The Domain OS Platform would then also be interfaced with a logical General OS or Logical Domain OS to capture the various parameters under which the CRANES are being operated, their efficiency, their load handling smoothness, their stability and so on.   The on board intelligence via sensors and software's shall ensure no eventuality (100% safety of the crews and the CRANE).  
That would enable for Data Analytics to arrive at a Statistical model of it's life time usage details and it's benefits to the customers.  This also would help in understanding the terrains in which it was used was any parameter or constraints that needs to be considered in the future designs of CRANES and  so on..
